About

Welcome to Sparkle and Sprinkle, my beading and baking blog! If you’re seeking inspiration for cool things you’d like to wear or eat, you’ve come to the right place.

I’ve always loved being creative and it helps me stay sane through all my civil engineering classes. Engineering and art also come together in creative problem solving, which is something I love.

I used to have an Etsy shop, but I closed it recently and am looking to keep my jewelry-making passion as a hobby. I chose this direction because the business side of things started to get in the way of the creative side of things. I realized there are more important things to focus on in college than how many sales I have on Etsy.

This blog will detail my journey as I create jewelry and baked goods for myself and friends and family. I hope to remind others that your hobby doesn’t have to become a business, it can just be something you love to do in your spare time. I also hope to inspire others in combining STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and the arts. These disciplines overlap in more ways than society would have you believe.

You can follow me via WordPress, email, Tumblr, or through Bloglovin’. Just check out the links in the sidebar!

I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing and creating the things featured in it.
