Yellow Flowers

Yellow is my favorite color, so whenever I make yellow jewelry, it usually ends up being for me. Looking at my shop awhile back, it came to my attention that a shop called “Yellow Raspberry Jewelry” ought to have more yellow jewelry in it. So now you know that whenever there’s yellow jewelry in my shop, I probably wanted to keep it for myself.

Walking through the bead store one day, I came across these beautiful yellow mother-of-pearl yellow flower disc beads. I wanted to make some sort of necklace with them, but could never come up with quite the right design. So I decided to make some earrings instead. I used some clear, yellow-lined Czech crystals to go at the bottoms, and the top is adorned with a wrapped wire technique. I really like how they came out, and I think the shiny silver-tone components help to bring out the yellow a bit more. They make for some cute little dangle earrings that will add just the right pop of yellow to an outfit.

Finally, I came up with a design to make a necklace out of these beautiful mother-of-pearl flowers. I had a two-stranded one in mind, that would become one strand about halfway up. It was a bit difficult to execute, since it wasn’t easy getting the strands to match up where I wanted them. With a little bit of patience and work, I was able to get it just how I had envisioned, which is always a nice feeling when creating something. I think it came out really well, and it’s very pretty. The color alone makes it a bit of a statement piece, and now the earrings have a matching necklace to go with them.

Yellow Raspberry Jewelry reopens in only 10 days! I hope you’re as excited as I am. Next week’s post will reveal the Black Friday coupon code, so get ready! The code will also be going up on my Tumblr, so it’ll be hard to miss.
